[Nz-folk] Plectrum ensemble

Auckland Mandolinata Orchestra (AMO) returned from taking part in the International Mandolin Festival in January in Sydney where they added to the 120+ players from several countries to rehearse and perform compositions for plectrum players, guitar and the mandolin family.  Most of the items were newly composed and were of a high standard.  The AMO commissioned and performed "Three Auckland Nocturnes" composed by Yvette Audain.  It was very much appreciated and several copies were sold internationally.
Any players interested in joining the orchestra would do well to make enquiries now as we begin the new year.   Our repertoire is very broad - classical, traditional, light popular, etc.
